All About Me
I am a wife, a mother, and a teacher. My husband, Jerry, and I have been married since 2006, and we have one daughter, Madison. I teach at Pansophia Academy in Coldwater, MI. Pansophia Academy is a K-12 charter school. I finished my sixth year as a first grade teacher and my eighth year overall teaching.
Personal Life
Family is one of the most important parts of my life. We do just about everything together. We love to camp, garden, be outdoors, go boating, watch movies: the list goes on. I love to scrapbook as well. I really enjoy creating works of art with my pictures. I am also involved in my church.
Professional Life
I love being a first grade teacher. I find they have adapted a little more to school and still enjoy being there. They are still little sponges. I truly enjoy watching my students grow into readers, writers, and learners. I love collaboration with my colleagues. I find sharing information with each other is the best way to learn and grow in your profession. My staff at Pansophia Academy fits that representation very well.
I believe a learning community should be a caring, loving, and supportive environment allowing students to be comfortable expressing their ideas and taking risks.
